Disruption in water supply in the city on Sept 6 & 7

Mysuru:

Water supply will be disrupted in several parts of Mysuru on September 6 and 7 due to a scheduled power shutdown at the Devanur Sub-Station.

The Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) will undertake its second quarterly maintenance work at the Devanur Sub-Station on September 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. As the sub-station supplies power to the Melapura and Rammanahalli water supply pumping stations, water cannot be supplied at full capacity on the day.

As a result, residents in several areas are likely to face disruption in water supply on September 6 and 7.

The affected areas include Wards 9 to 16, 28 to 39, 52 and 53, covering Kesare, Rajendranagar, Subhashnagar, N.R. Mohalla, Gandhinagar, Udayagiri, Rajivnagar 1st, 2nd and 3rd Stages, Shantinagar, Kalyanagiri, areas adjoining Dr. Rajkumar Road, Yaraganahalli, Siddhartha Layout, Alanahalli, Nandini Layout, Giridarshini Layout, Gousianagar, Kyathamaranahalli and other surrounding areas.

The Executive Engineer of the East Division of the Water Supply and Sewerage Department has appealed to residents to cooperate in view of the temporary disruption.
