Kampli MLA J.N. Ganesh visited the Muslim community cemetery at Belgodhal village under Muddapur village in Kampli taluk on Tuesday and reviewed the problems faced by residents.
He assured the community that necessary steps would be taken soon to improve the cemetery and provide better access.
During the visit, youth leader and Kampli Taluk Human Brotherhood president B. Nabisab explained the difficulties caused by the narrow road leading to the cemetery. He said families face serious problems while carrying the bodies of deceased people for burial and requested the MLA to provide a permanent solution.
Nabisab also highlighted the poor condition of the approach road, which runs between green paddy fields and ends near a partly constructed compound wall. He said the narrow dirt track made funeral processions difficult, particularly during periods of heavy rain, and urged the authorities to improve the route.
Ganesh said every person deserves to be given a respectful final journey and described it as an important expression of humanity and social responsibility. He promised to widen the narrow road and construct a quality road to make funeral processions easier. He also assured residents that the cemetery would be developed with the required basic facilities.
The MLA said sincere efforts would be made to address the needs of the Muslim community and support its overall development. He assured residents that the concerns raised during the visit would be considered and appropriate action taken. APMC president N. Habib Rahman, along with leaders Painter Mastan, C.R. Hanumanta, K. Shanmukappa, Zafar, Prabhi Shabbir, Honnuravali, Gudusab, Rajabhakshi, Peerasab, Lokraj, Sharangowda, Khaza Hussain and Noorbasha, were present during the visit and supported the demand for improved facilities.
