MLA Srinivas Mane has directed officials to ensure that no eligible voter loses voting rights during the special revision of electoral rolls.
He said names of more than 8,000 eligible voters who had already been digitized were reportedly left out and asked Tahsildar Vitthal Chaugala to take immediate action.
During a meeting with the Tahsildar, Mane instructed BLO supervisors and nodal officers to work carefully and issue necessary directions. He also asked officials to distribute pending documents related to revenue village titles to eligible beneficiaries without delay. Survey work for newly identified revenue villages should be completed quickly, with pending proposals sent to the government for approval.
Mane said complaints had been received that some survey numbers belonging to previously announced revenue villages were missing. He directed officials to verify the complaints and take suitable action. He also called for applications received by the Illegal and Regularisation Committee to be investigated and settled promptly, so eligible beneficiaries can receive pattas.
The MLA further directed officials to act on complaints about encroachment on school land and clear illegal occupation. He noted that some survey numbers are recorded as designated forest areas and require survey work. Mane suggested holding a joint meeting involving the Revenue, Land Survey and Forest departments to examine such cases, make clear decisions and take necessary action. He stressed that timely coordination would help protect public land and ensure benefits reach eligible residents without unnecessary delays or confusion.
