Srinivaspur
In view of the mango season and increased tractor movement to markets, Srinivaspur Police launched an awareness drive on the use of radium stickers for safer night travel. During the campaign at the APMC mango market, police checked tractors and advised drivers to place reflective stickers on the front and rear sides of vehicles.
Officials explained that these stickers improve visibility during dark hours and foggy conditions by helping other road users notice slow-moving vehicles from a distance. The police also guided drivers to follow traffic rules, avoid speeding, and maintain headlights, indicators and reflectors properly.
Circle Inspector Shankarachar and PSI Jayaram participated in the programme with police staff and encouraged transporters and farmers to adopt safety measures during the busy mango transportation period.
The initiative aims to prevent accidents and protect both drivers and other commuters on the roads. Police officials said that simple precautions can create safer journeys for everyone and help reduce risks during the season.
